Today I'm on the road... off to teach Design with Ruth Sanderson in the "Certificate in Children's Book Illustration" program at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. What an inspirational environment - I can't wait to get there! Last summer (when Ruth hired me) I only visited for a few days and returned home itching to sculpt and paint (which I did): sculptures, paintings (browse for my name). Can you imagine what I'll be inspired to do after SIX WEEKS!?
While I'm driving I'll be listening to Rick Yancey's THE 5TH WAVE and/or Maggie Stiefvater's THE RAVEN BOYS. Fun!
